Amish Dining Tables: Custom Solid Wood Tables

Shop Amish dining tables built to order in solid hardwood. Choose from leg, trestle, single-pedestal, double-pedestal and gathering-height designs, with extension options available on many models. Wood species, finish, size and other choices vary by table.

Choose a Dining Table by Base Style

• Leg Tables: traditional corner-leg construction in a wide range of shapes and styles.
• Trestle Tables: two supports joined by a stretcher, often providing a strong visual base and flexible side seating.
• Single Pedestal Tables: a central base that can simplify chair placement around smaller round or square tables.
• Double Pedestal Tables: two pedestal bases commonly used on longer dining tables.
• Pub and Gathering Tables: taller dining surfaces designed for compatible counter- or gathering-height seating.

Extension Dining Tables

Many dining tables are available with extension leaves, but leaf size, quantity and storage capability vary by model. Some tables can self-store certain leaves while others require separate storage. Check the individual table specifications before ordering.

How to Choose the Right Size

Measure the room with the table both closed and extended. Leave adequate clearance for chairs and walking paths, and consider the table base because legs and pedestals can affect where diners sit. A useful starting point is roughly 24 inches of table-edge space per diner, followed by verification against the actual table and chair dimensions.

Wood and Finish Choices

Available hardwoods vary by model and may include oak, brown maple, cherry, hard maple, quarter-sawn white oak, hickory and other species. Stain and finish selections allow a table to coordinate with new or existing dining chairs and storage furniture.
