Rustic & Rough Sawn

Amish Rough Sawn Furniture: Rustic Texture in Solid Wood

Shop Amish-made rough sawn furniture built from solid hardwood. Rough sawn lumber keeps the visible saw marks left by the mill, so each top, panel and frame has a textured, hand-hewn surface that feels like a timber-frame barn or mountain lodge.

This collection brings together rough sawn dining tables and benches, dining chairs, bedroom sets, upholstered living room seating, entertainment centers, buffets, hutches, office furniture and occasional tables. Most pieces are made in rustic rough sawn maple or white oak, with knots, mineral streaks and color variation left in for character.

Finishing rough sawn wood

Rough sawn surfaces are usually finished in aged or weathered stains that settle into the saw marks and highlight the texture. Each piece is built to order by Amish craftsmen, so check the product page for available woods, finishes and sizes.
